I loved this software when I tried it via the trial version, it is the only software out there with a simple way to render my AVCHD files and keep them with the same quality at output as they came in with. Pretty expensive software to be rendered useless without making any other changes to my system. An uninstall/reinstall with cleaned registry should have put it back to useable. That did not work and it crashed the program and then subsequent attempts to render the project with other settings would not complete.

I am really just confused as to why the program worked properly from the original install I did back in January until last week when I created a video and chose to "share" via Facebook. Think of this as the PC alternative to iMovie, only with a lot more options at your disposal. While it’s geared towards new editors, or those that just like to dabble, there’s a lot to this package that professional editors typically pay a lot more for.

When I launch the software, the splash screen comes up and even the main editing screen comes up, but it immediately goes white and has a Windows error box that says that the program has stopped working correctly.I've looked on this forum and found posts talking about some browser extension causing problems-Browser Manager,BrowserProtect, Babylon-and have checked my system and do not have any of the extensions mentioned anywhere that I can find. So, here's what I have done.I uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and reinstalled.twice. corel video studio pro x5, 7237 records found, first 100 of them are: Ulead vedio studio pro x5. It is the most intuitive software I have seen in many years.

After spending a few hours downloading plug-ins and updates, I made a 15 minute movie with very little instruction. But, it has made things worse since I can't even use it now. Then I ordered Corel Video Studio Pro X5 Ultimate.

I was having an issue with posting to FB and rendering video and before I found the SP2 patch on the website, I figured an uninstall/reinstall would fix my problem. I have recently uninstalled and reinstalled Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultimate on my Windows 7 laptop and now the program won't launch.
